Glaze Repair for Terra Cotta & Brick

Preblended and simple to apply, this coating contains custom mica inclusions.
Henry Frerk Sons offers potassium silicate coating systems from Cathedral Stone Products and Keim Mineral Coatings. Silicate coatings are the premier restoration coating system for terra cotta, and they offer long lasting, breathable finishes that can be custom matched to replicate almost any historic terra cotta finish. Silicates chemically bond with the masonry substrate, so there’s no flaking or peeling, and when they eventually fade they can be easily recoated. In addition to custom color matching services provided by these manufacturers, Henry Frerk Sons also provides custom blending, diluting, and mockup services.

Potassium silicates are also recommended for brick, stone, and concrete restoration. For more information about concrete restoration products, please visit Keim’s Concretal coating system page. Keim also offers an interior finish, Optil, and silicate paints for murals and decorative purposes. Silicate coatings can be color matched to a sample or to most Benjamin Moore or Sherwin William colors. (Due to the mineral pigment systems some colors cannot be replicated.) Keim also offers a full palette of colors, including metallics.
All Keim and Cathedral Stone coatings are custom order. To place an order, please contact Randy Sabo at 312-833-5519. For technical questions or custom blending, please call Elisabeth Logman at 773-588-0800 x.113.
