Henry Frerk Sons offers potassium silicate coating systems from Cathedral Stone and Keim Mineral Coatings. Silicate coatings are the premier restoration coating system for historic masonry, and they offer long-lasting, breathable finishes that can be custom matched to replicate almost any historic masonry finish. Silicates chemically bond with the masonry substrate, so there is no flaking or peeling, and when they eventually fade, they can be easily recoated.

Potassium silicates are also recommended for brick, stone, and concrete restoration. Additionally, Keim mineral coating products offer an interior finish, Optil, and silicate paints for murals and decorative purposes. Silicate coatings can be color-matched to a sample or to most Benjamin Moore or Sherwin William colors. (Due to the mineral pigment systems some colors cannot be replicated.) Keim also offers a full palette of colors, including metallics.
Soldalit Sol-Silicate ready to use exterior coating is designed for use on difficult to paint surfaces, mixed mineral media, glazed finishes, etc. and previously latex/acrylic painted surfaces. Engineered for outstanding performance in all climates. Excellent for over-coating organic paints or mixed mineral substrates, or any combination of these substrates for unusually long life. Sodalit is weather resistant yet highly vapor permeable. Thin first coat with Soldalit Dilution/Thinner. Delivers a beautiful, natural appearing mineral matte finish. Very low VOC (less than 2 g/l tinted).

Sol-silicate based, ready-to-use glaze/mineral stain concentrates according to DIN EN 1062-1 for interior and exterior use. For decorative coatings in glaze painting technique or to provide conventional coatings with a special finish. Highly suitable for impressive colour designs. KEIM Design-Lasur can be mixed in any ratio with KEIM Design-Base and/or KEIM Design-Fixativ to achieve the desired degree of translucency.
